The head of PTI said that General (ret.) Qamar Javed Bajwa’s “setup is still working in establishment.”

Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), asserted that in Pakistan, the establishment is known by the name of “one guy” without naming anyone.

The former prime minister continued his tirade against the former army chief, whom he now holds responsible for the overthrow of his government, during a conversation with journalists. “Former chief of army staff (COAS) General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa’s setup is still working in the establishment,” the ex-prime minister said.

Khan, who was overthrown in April 2022 by a no-confidence vote in the National Assembly, claimed that the former army leader did not want accountability in the country and that this was why his relationships with Gen (retd) Bajwa deteriorated.

Khan responded to a query by claiming that Bajwa stabbed him in the back to show sympathy with him.

Gen Bajwa called him a “playboy” during their last meeting, to which Gen Khan reportedly responded, “Yes, I had been a playboy.”

Khan further charged Bajwa with being against the country’s rule of law. The former army chief.

Khan pointed his pistols at Pervez Musharraf, the former president and head of the army, and claimed that he gained money by “selling terrorism.”

However, 80,000 people died as a result of Musharraf’s activities, the former premier added, adding that “dollars can be acquired by selling terrorism.”

“Military operations are not the answer to any problem,”
According to Khan, the nation won’t advance unless the army and all political groups are on the same page.

He continued by stating that no problem can be solved by a military operation and that he has always spoken out against operations in Waziristan.

Khan blasted the establishment once more, claiming that three of their lawmakers were urged to abstain from voting during the Punjab Assembly’s vote of confidence.

In order to compete with the PTI in the upcoming election, MQM factions are coming together, while Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leaders have joined the PPP, according to Khan.

The PTI chairman emphasized the need of free and fair elections and claimed that transparent elections will provide stability to the nation. He also criticized the nation’s “game of audio leaks.”

Khan berated the coalition administration, claiming that Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the foreign minister, knew nothing about Afghanistan.

The former prime minister praised the foreign policy of his administration, noting that they had been friendly with the current government in the country that was racked by civil conflict.

In response to a query on the coalition government’s choice to appoint Najam Sethi as the next head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Khan claimed Najam Sethi has nothing to do with cricket.

The World Cup-winning cricketer-turned-politician criticised the coalition government for changing the board’s constitution, saying Ramia Raja “flourished the sport and also saved money.”

It should be recalled that Raja was fired only a few days after the national team lost an embarrassing first-ever 3-0 home series against England, per a government notice.

However, a shift had been anticipated since since Shehbaz Sharif, who succeeded Khan, a former national team captain, as prime minister in April of last year.
