Gold prices decrease by Rs2,000 to 198,000 per tola


KARACHI: On Wednesday, the price of a tola of 24 carat gold fell by Rs. 2,000, trading at Rs. 198,000 as opposed to Rs. 200,000 the previous trading day.

According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewelers Association, the cost of 10 grams of 24 karat gold dropped by Rs. 1,715 to Rs. 169,753 from Rs. 171,468 and that of 10 grames of 22 carat gold dropped to Rs. 155,607 from Rs. 157,179.

One tola of silver cost Rs. 60 less, at Rs. 2170, while ten grammes of silver cost Rs. 51.44 less, at Rs. 1,860.42.

According to the organization, the price of gold on the international market increased by US$11 to US$1880 from its sale price of US$1,969 on the previous trading day.
