Maryam Nawaz hopes to win, Punjab elections after arriving Pakistan

Date:

Maryam Nawaz returned to Pakistan to try to reorganize the party as she is PML-chief N’s organizer

Maryam Nawaz, the chief organiser of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), said that her party was not scared to run in elections despite the rising inflation and is aiming victory in the next Punjab elections.

After a brief flight delay, Maryam, who was named the party’s senior vice president earlier this month, arrived at the Allama Iqbal International Airport from Abu Dhabi at around 3:30 p.m.

After being cleared in the Avenfield reference case, Nawaz Sharif’s daughter has been visiting her father in London since October.

The party workers in the province capital have set up camps outside the airport to greet Maryam under tight security to prevent any unsafe conditions, and senior leaders are also present.

Along with Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, PML-N leader Nawaz has requested Maryam to organize events and meetings before to the next elections in Punjab. The party setup needs to be “reorganized,” according to the newly appointed chief organizer.

The senior party leader, who was speaking to PML-N members in Lahore, confirmed that Nawaz would soon be among them, a subject that has been the subject of much speculation.

“These [establishment] people repeatedly forced Nawaz out of power. Three times you put him in positions of authority, but these people overthrew his governments, she claimed.

The PML-N leader described the resignation of Sharif in the Panama leaks case on July 28, 2017, as a “national calamity” and said that Pakistan has not recovered since then.

Maryam promised that she would not stop working until her party was able to alter the course of the country and lead it out of its protracted political and economic crisis.

The PML-N senior vice president, who would now oversee the party’s efforts leading up to the provincial elections, declared that “all the characters who devised a conspiracy against Nawaz had to face the price for their acts.”

She made fun of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan by claiming that he was “weeping” after dissolving his two provincial governments.

Maryam believed that if her party won the upcoming elections by a wide margin, Imran Khan would be forced to “cry for the rest of his life.”

The PML-N leader discussed her election strategy, stating that she will start visiting all of Punjab’s districts on February 1.

According to comments made to journalists, tickets will be given out based on merit and those who proved party loyalty would be given preference. The PML-N leader expressed her desire to strengthen and reorganize the party’s management structure.

Maryam claimed that while the PML-N is united, there may be localised disagreements, which are typical in all political parties.

She asserted that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s commitment to the PML-N dates back three decades and that it is impossible to doubt.

“Party should be united since it is similar to a home. No one’s personal agenda should be present at the gathering “she said

The PML-N vice president thanked Finance Minister Ishaq Dar for his efforts to set the nation on the path of economic development and prosperity while speaking to the party’s members.

Maryam expressed her faith in Dar, saying that he was working tirelessly to resolve the issue and that the finance czar had successfully brought Pakistan’s economy back from the brink numerous times.

She said, “Have faith in Ishaq Dar [and] God. It will take some time to fix the issues the former PTI government left behind. We’ll rescue the economy from this mess.

The announcement was made at a time when FinMin Dar is facing harsh criticism from all parties involved for delaying the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programmed, which caused the foreign exchange reserves to drastically decline and the rupee to depreciate sharply.

PK264, Maryam’s flight, was delayed because of a medical issue on board. At 11:00 a.m. Emirates local time, the flight was supposed to land in Pakistan. However, it was delayed when a passenger on board reported experiencing heart trouble.

After hearing the allegation, a medical team hurried to the aircraft to examine the passenger. The traveller was discharged and brought to a hospital for additional medical care.

After a one-hour delay, the flight departed Abu Dhabi for Lahore at 12:54.
