From Thursday morning, March 30 through Saturday morning, April 1, the majority of Wisconsin will have heavy rain and snow precipitation possibilities.
Friday, March 31 has the highest probability of thunderstorms, particularly in the southwest.
This system begins Thursday morning with snow and mixed precipitation, transitioning to light, scattered rain Thursday afternoon.

Friday will be the most exciting day due to the possibility of more intense thunderstorms. The potential for stronger storms will be greatest in central Illinois, but the southwest will also be a major concern. Winds and precipitation are the primary concerns at this time.
Even though there have been thunderstorms in January and February, this will be the first severe threat of the year.

The thunderstorm activity is accompanied by warm air, but a rapid temperature drop will ensue. On Saturday morning, the precipitation type changes back to snow and gradually decreases throughout the day. In all likelihood, snow accumulation will be minimal.
