Woman shot outside southeast DC Safeway was unintended target, police say


WATERLOO – Authorities think the woman who was shot outside a Safeway grocery store in southeast Washington, DC, on Tuesday was an accident.

According to police, the woman was shot in the 2800 block of Alabama Avenue just before 4 o’clock.

She was taken to the hospital. Unknown is her state right now.

Authorities are searching for a grey car with heavily tinted windows. Currently, the investigation is ongoing.
